Short Bio

Yu Liu received the bachelor’s degrees in computer science and technology from Shandong University in 2011, and the MS and PhD degree from Renmin University of China in 2014 and 2018, respectively. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher sponsored by Boya Postdoctoral Fellowship at Institute of Computer Science and Technology, Peking Univeristy.

Research Interests

Models and algorithms for real world networks: Model important properties of real world networks, based on which we make improvements in algorithm design and complexity analysis. I am interested in algorithms which achieves both highly effectiveness and efficiency on real world large graphs.

I/O efficient graph algorithms: Currently I’m focusing on point-to-point distance queries and relation discovery in graphs, under (semi-) external computation model and also considering graph updates.

Large scale graph representation learning: I also do some research in large scale graph representation learning, a.k.a. graph embedding. At present my interest is in GCN-based methods with deeper utilization of graph structure info, and its applications in knowledge graph based question answering.
